The VCU Humanities Research Center and the Office of Faculty Affairs are hosting a three-day writing retreat at the Roslyn Retreat Center. VCU faculty, graduate students, and postdocs working on manuscripts are welcome to apply. We will provide breakfast, lunch, and coffee for all three days. Participation is FREE. We are pleased to offer this support, and only ask that any publications resulting from the retreat acknowledge support from the HRC and the Office of Faculty Affairs.
Once all spots fill, subsequent applicants will be put on a waiting list. Participants are encouraged to notify us of cancellation in advance, if applicable, so that their spot can be given away. Once you submit this form, we will follow up to confirm your invitation. Filling out this form is not a guarantee of participation.
ABOUT THE RETREAT: Combining writing intensives, workshops, peer collaboration, and opportunities for reflection, this 3-day writing retreat will help you define your writing and wellness priorities, uncovering the stumbling blocks and shenanigans in the way of progress and self-care, and revealing practical strategies for a more balanced and rewarding writing experience.
Please submit your applications by April 15.
