Current Opportunities
HRC Residential Fellowship Program
The Humanities Research Center invites applications for the Residential Fellowship Program for the 2026-2027 academic year centered around the theme of "Repair." These fellowships are awarded to 4-6 faculty members and at least one Ph.D. student per year.

Humanities Badges
We are excited to announce two new badges: the Public Humanities badge and the Indigenous Humanities badge. Please reach out to HRC Assistant Director Hilary Levinson if you need guidance on how to claim your badge(s).
Co-sponsorship Funding

The Humanities Research Center is pleased to provide co-sponsorship funding and support to a variety of events, programs, and academic initiatives at VCU each year. Co-sponsorship requests are reviewed on a regular basis, and funding decisions are based on availability of funds and expected reach and impact of the event.

Writing and Publication Support
The Humanities Research Center offers a variety of support resources for faculty through every stage of publishing—whether you’re writing your first book, your second or seventh. The HRC supports book publication across a wide range of subjects within the humanities, arts, and humanistic social sciences.
